Zeobrite is an alternative to sand media and is made from Zeolite, a naturally occurring mineral with a heavily textured surface and void spaces as small as three microns. This surface makes it a superb filtering media for catching and absorbing the smallest particles, even such irritants as ammonia ions and chloramines.
Zeobrite last as long as sand media and can safely be disposed of by mixing into garden and grass areas as a soil enhancer. Dimensions: 1 cubic foot; Weight: 50 lbs.
